At the end of 2022, the crew from The Chronicle, a locally made show on public tv station WCVB (Needham, Mass), visited the studio and profiled my custom handmade shoes. You can watch the episode here.
The Chronicle show also visits the now-closed Providence Shoe Repair shop. I was sad to hear that Mike was ending his work in shoe repair, but fully recognize that it IS a tough business to take on long-term. His stated reason was not wanting to continue working around hazardous chemicals; this is a real concern in the shoe repair and shoemaking trades, and why I refuse to use cements containing toluene (banned in Europe, should be in the US as well, but it ISN'T).

It was great reading about your shop being featured and seeing how dedication and creativity led to such a special milestone. Success stories like this always remind me that steady effort often pays off when least expected. I remember balancing classes and personal projects during a hectic semester, and I used assignment help for engineering students to stay on top of my workload. Achievements like this show that persistence and patience can turn small steps into memorable accomplishments. Your post makes me smile.
